Freddy Kreuger looking nails

Happy Halloween friends! this is what I'm rocking on my nails today. I used tape to make the lines and then stamped the skull on,  It kinda reminds me of Freddy Kreuger for some reason which is perfect for Halloween So yay I'm happy with that. I used sinful colors slate and winterberry for the stripes.The skull stamp was not working good it kept leaving some of the stamp on the rubber, you can see how some parts look like some is missing. I don't know why this was happening has anyone ever had this happen? ok well that's if for me, I'm still at work I get off early though so I can take my baby girl trick or treating, hope you guys have a great Halloween be safe!

Halloween manicure

I had the idea to do a jelly sandwich with china glaze papaya punch and Milani gems but papaya punch was not jelly enough so it didn't come out so good, so Instead of doing all my nails with papaya punch I used pure ice naughty girl as the second layer on all my fingers except my thumb, which was the test subject for the second layer of papaya punch,  it still didn't come out like I pictured so I stamped it with bm224 and called it day, it's not what I saw in my head but I think its decent, okay later peoples!

Pink Wed Essence Mr. Big & Carrie

Happy pink wed every one today I'm wearing two polishes that i won in a giveaway. Hello people, hows your monday going mine is pretty dang good i get of work at 5:30 and then Im off for the next two days yay! So for todays nail of thee day, I have some layering I did and I thought it wasn't going to look so good but I was mistaken it looks freaking awesome and I really like it! I'm loving this gradient it's so pretty! It's just dorothy who and Kleancolor Holo yellow and instead of having to use a sponge a just used my fingers so easy and simple but oh so pretty! Ok i just wanted to show you guys real quick, okay later!

Hi strangers! Its been forever since I posted or at least it feels like that to me,  I've been way too busy and tired to post like i normally do having a job sucks so bad sometimes I just hate being a responsible adult, so anyway I don't really have anything good to show you I picked up china glaze  Dorothy who because I saw the cutest nail art tutorial on YouTube and wanted to attempt it,  so first here is just Dorothy who alone, this just happens to be what I'm wearing today... sorry for the craptastic pic i missed the sun today and had to be happy with work lighting...

Then just something random...my dad got me some polishes I'm always so happy when anyone gets me polishes because i feel like its so thoughtful that they know I'm crazy for polish, I've never heard of this brand before so I'm very excited to try them there is one that is matte and a matte top coat I like the bottles too! Has anyone tried this brand and if so how do you like it?

If your still reading this post then your in for a real treat at my expense lol just kidding but no not really remember how I said I wanted Dorothy who so I could attempt some super cute nail art from a YouTube video well first here's the video this chick has some serious nail art skills, so then here is a pic of me attempting this on my sister and I failed big time but I blame it on the fact I used polish and not acrylic paint so I plan to get some and try again so here is another craptastic picture...

Opi DS classic

Hello lovely people! so I had the longest day yesterday I had to go to training for my job and it was far away over an hour drive so I had to wake up at 4:30 am to be ready to leave at 6am to be at training by 8am and then after training ended I had to drive back to my job and work a whole closing shift till 9:30 pm with no lunch break! it was the worst and I'm so glad its over, so because I was in a professional setting I wanted to have a professional looking manicure so I used Opi DS classic for the first time, it's so subtle yet very beautiful I got a lot of compliments on it, sorry it has chips this is one day wear I didn't have the time to snap a picture of it yesterday.

What do you guys think? Do you like it? Ok well I plan do absolute nothing but lay around and be lazy on my day off, have a great day!

Look I attempted some nail art!

I purchased nail art brushes in September and have been puting off trying any nail art because I'm not good at it at all horrible in fact, so I wanted to try but never got the courage to actually do so and today I got the gusto to actually try and I'm so proud of myself it's not great but it's not a complete mess, I really like it and have over come my little weird phobia and hopefully I will continue to try more and who knows maybe I can get better at this art thing, stranger things have happened, so what do you think my friends? c'mon let's hear it, I can take it...

Nicole by opi Canadian star

My mammy gave me this polish set because she saw it and thought of me! Thanks mom! I love her so much she is my best friend! I was so happy because Canadian star has been on my wish list for a minute and I didn't think I would ever get it because it was said it was only released in Canada, so I feel very lucky to get it! I've been kinda busy so I've only gotten to try Canadian star haven't tried any other ones yet but they all look very nice can't wait to try them all, this color is beautiful and actually purple in real life and it has purple pink and I think blue shimmer in it, just gorgeous, ok well that's all for me at the moment I'm at work, later my friends, hope you have a great day!

Orly Rock Solid

This is just what I be wearing on my nails today I picked this color up at ulta a few weeks ago and I'm just now trying it, I'm pretty easy please I think because I really like it I love the gray color and the rainbow sparkle in it this is two coats and a coat of seche, okay well I'm at work so that's all for me today, hope everyone is having a great Monday I'm off tomorrow so I can't wait for today to be over, talk to you lovelies later.

Petites Virgo & pink diamond

I just found out I have high cholesterol and it's kinda upsetting to me but I can't say I'm completely surprised I've been on this kick lately the way I see it I'm already overweight so I'm going to eat what ever the f I want! And I have been, plus it doesn't help that I want the greasy most unhealthy food available, well the point to me spilling my life story out you guys is that I decided to not eat breakfast or lunch only dinner and so I'm only drinking naked juices or odwalla juices instead of eating so I went to rite aid to get some naked juices and what better way to cheer myself up then to get some nail polishes yay! So I picked up these two colors I got Virgo because I am a Virgo and I got pink diamonds because I'm a crazy fool for my pinks! My stupid rite aid doesn't have any pumpkin polishes either I don't if I would buy any but I wanted the option at least, so anyways these two colors are not the first petites I've purchased but the first I've tried, I really like both of them and I'm glad to have them, I will definitely be on the lookout for more colors that catch my fancy, what do you lovely people think? do you have any petites in your collection? Any you think I should check out? Ok well that all the whining I got in me today, till tomorrow my friends.

Here is used pink diamonds to do a gradient, Fingers will say I ruined it with the pink, and i say i have to agree i think it Virgo looked better on its own, what do you say?

orly fowl play • it's finally mine!

I was having the absolute worst day ever! it was just one crappy thing after another I couldn't wait to go home and crawl into bed, and then I got the mail and I had the best gift ever! My sweet sweet friend Amy from IM FEELING-NAILVENTEROUS sent me orly fowl play, it made my horrible day so much better! Thank you so much Amy I seriously heart you! I love this polish so much it's seriously gorgeous! I could stare at my nails all dang day lol, I can see why merry midnight is so sought after. Were you lucky enough to get this one? I had been searching for it and it was always sold out, I'm so lucky to have such a nice friend!

P.S  blogger won't publish my posts on the dashboard/reader as soon as I post them it will only like 12 hours or more later is anyone else having that problem or know how to fix it? see im publishing this post now at 5pm and it wont post till tonight or even tomorow probably, it sucks but i dont know how to fix it :-(

Beautiful in bottle syndrome

Have you ever purchased a polish because it looked gorgeous in the bottle only to find out the gorgeous does not transfer to the nail, upsetting I know we have all been there huh? Well this is the case with the polish I'm wearing today its Essie wrapped in rubies ( I even love the name) and I think it's worse with this one because I've been eyeing it for some time now and I finally got it, don't get me wrong it's still a lovely color it just has this gorgeous golden shimmer in the bottle but not on my nails, again it's still very beautiful and a perfect color for fall, what do you think? Do you like it? what colors do you have that has this syndrome? Alrighty then I'm taking off talk to you sweetie pies later.

Incoco nail polish appliqué and me is a dum dum..

 

okay so I've been putting off trying these for a little while because I was kinda nervous about trying them I was afraid they were to hard for a art challenged person like me..... AND I WAS RIGHT! I SCREWED EM UP! no not really well kinda yes, so let me explain I read the instructions three times, three but I guess I wasn't really because I missed a huge step it says to pull off a plastic film from the TOP ( key word) of the strips I just assumed I only had to peel the back strip so I did and of course it wouldn't stick, it wasn't till my friend Erick came to my rescue and REALLY read the instructions and said there's something you need to peel off the top and at first I proceeded to argue with him stating NO there was only one thing to peel and that was the white tab on the bottom, my patient friend showed me and then all was well, but I had waited too long because of my moment of stupidity they didn't stick as well as they should so I eventually got the hang of it and was able to do a few properly but not all and a lot didn't come so good but from my experience I do like these and if your not a dummy like me they are very easy to use and indeed very fast so I do like them and would definitely purchase more. ( I feel like a stubborn idiot but I wanted to share just in case to save anyone else from this)

Pink Wednesday

Hi, it's raining where I live, so it's gloomy and makes me super lazy, I don't want to do anything does it do that to anyone else? Ok well it's been a while since I got to do a pink wed manicure, today I used orly elizabeths rose as the base and then used a dotting tool to make dots with wnw tickled pink and then dotted again with orly flirty and then again with tickled pink I don't really like the outcome I had pictured it different in my head but oh well it's practice and then I couldn't get any good pictures because of the no sun situation, and then I have a problem I clean up way too much like on my middle finger oops... Ok well talk to you later I'm going to continue my lazy day.

September Favorites 2011

I don't do favorites every month Just the months I have tried something new and liked it but I don't buy new stuff too often to do it monthly, like you guys really care huh? Anywhoozle onto the favorites...

( I'm going to list them staring with my most favorite)

1.) Sally Hansen nail nutrition green tea+soy cuticle oil.
I love this product I love the applicator and I love how convent it is I keep it in my purse and I find it very easy to whip out and apply to all my cuticles in seconds its so easy and fast I find myself doing it 3 or 4 times a day which make my cuticles very happy! it's just awesome I highly recommend it and plan to purchase again.

2.) Boots extracts olive wonderbalm.
Of course the word wonderbalm was like a tractor beam to me sucked me right in, but I absolutely love this balm it really is wonderful it smells so good and it makes my lips feel amazing so soft it's my new go to lip balm it's kinda pricey but so worth it.

3.) Dove nutritive therapy nourishing oil care shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner. This line smells amazing and makes my hair really soft and shiny, I really like it and the way it makes my hair feel.

4.) Cetaphil UVA/UVB spf 50 defense daily moisturizer. I love this moisturizer so much I was using a neutrogena one that costs three times what this one did and it made my face super greasy, so I tried this one because it says non greasy and non comedogenic which is what my dermatologist told me to look for in a moisturizer because that means it doesn't clog your pores, this moisturizer doesn't make my face greasy at all and it soaks right in and protects from both UVA/UVB which a lot of moisturizers only protect from UVA not UVB, and I like the packaging I like that it's a very convenient and sanitary pump I know that I need two pumps so there's no guessing how much to scoop and there's no worrying about putting germs into the whole lot, I just love it all around and will continue to purchase it.

5.) Burts bees lemon butter cuticle cream. I picked this up at target because I'm running low on my lush lemony flutter and I don't have a lush close to me so I'm trying to savor the last bit so I only use it once a week so I got this as a replacement I do like the smell and it seems to help my cuticles when I use it, the only problem is it can be kinda time consuming to apply since it's a hard wax that I have to use the backside of my brush to get some and rub into my cuticles, i don't use it as often as like since it takes a while to apply so if it was easier to apply I think I might use it more but I love the container and I love that I can just keep it in my purse for anytime I need it and the price is very good.



6.) Nivea a kiss of milk and honey.
I will admit it was the cute packaging that attracted me to this lip balm but after I tried it I love it, it smells so yummy and makes my lips feel very moisturized and smooth my hubby keeps stealing mine I had to buy another one which I caught him eyeing that one too.

( phew! That was a lot of typing for me but I'm glad I shared it with you guys because I'm really loving all these products, which I purchased all of them with my own money)

my first jelly sammich!

These jelly sandwich/ sammich have been all the rage for a while now and I just now tried one and I can see why it looks so cool! I used essence sweet as candy as my base then added nyx carnival and then another layer of sweet as candy and voila! nice an squishy looking with glitter as the filling! This is such an easy and cool looking technique I can't wait to try different colors, have you tried this yet? do you love it? ok well hope you have a great Sunday my friends I got to go work now :-(
